How does the Auto Assigner - top-down work?
Starting conditions
So how exactly does the Auto Assigner top-down work? Let us go through the basics! You have a CRM in monday.com with different monday.com-boards, one of which is for incoming leads. When you have a new lead, you want to be able to easily assign the lead to a colleague based on a list of all co-workers. This is where the Auto Assigner – top-down comes in.
Assigning items
Once a new lead is put into your monday.com-board, the only thing you have to do is go to the status column of said lead and click “assign”.
Assigning order
The Auto Assigner – top-down assigns the lead to the person at the top of the co-worker list. The next lead that’s put into the board will then be assigned to the second person on the list, and so on.
Unassign (if necessary)
If by any chance the team member who just got assigned a new lead can’t follow through, you can easily go back to the status column of that person and click “unassign”. Then the lead will be assigned to the next person on the list.
